A specialized recruiter becomes the lead recruiting partner on a reserved search, may open one partner seat, and introduces a candidate into the employer’s hiring pipeline
Why we built this

Why specialized firms join

Most specialized recruiting firms encounter both sides of the same problem: difficult client searches that need complementary expertise, and room to work another search when the right opportunity appears.

  • Roles opened by employers

Work technology roles opened specifically for specialist recruiting help, each with one lead recruiting partner and one optional partner seat.

  • Help for difficult client searches

Bring a specialist partner into your own authorized client search when added expertise or reach could help. You can also invite a client to place roles with you directly.

  • Protected relationships

The client relationship stays under your control, and each candidate introduction is attributed to the recruiter who made it.

  • Payment administered by JobMedium

JobMedium invoices the paying party and distributes each share under published terms.

How we protect your relationships

Better placements begin with trusted recruiting relationships.

We never ask you to expose your pipeline or hand over a client, and nothing is assigned to you without your say. These protections are built into how every search runs today.

Nothing is exposed by default

Your profile starts private, and you never upload a candidate database to join.

Introductions are intentional and attributed

You introduce a candidate for one specific search, after confirming that the candidate wants to be considered. Every introduction is timestamped to you for 12 months.

Contact details stay protected

On recruiter introductions, a candidate’s email and phone stay hidden from the employer, and from any partner on the search, until the candidate is hired.

Your client stays on your side

Post a client role to the network and the posting carries the role, never the client record behind it. The relationship stays with you.

How it works

Two ways a search begins

An employer opens a role for specialist help, or a recruiting firm brings its own authorized client search for complementary expertise. Either way, the search runs by the same rules.

  1. An employer or firm opens a search
  2. One lead recruiting partner takes it on
  3. One optional partner seat may open
  4. Candidates are introduced and considered
  5. On a hire, JobMedium invoices and pays each share

One lead recruiting partner

Taking on a search makes you its lead recruiting partner, and nobody else submits unless you open a partner seat. The search is held for you for a set number of working hours to put candidates forward, and stays yours while one of them is in play. In the product, the button for taking on an available search is labeled Claim.

One optional partner seat

On a hard search, the lead may open one partner seat, so no search ever has more than two recruiters on it. You set the share before anyone joins, the partner sees exactly what it pays before taking the seat, and both of you are paid your share whoever’s candidate is hired. On a search an employer placed with you directly, they approve the seat first.

Representation and attribution

Every candidate you introduce is timestamped to you. If that client hires your candidate within 12 months, for any role and through any channel, the fee is owed to you. It is not a global lock: another recruiter can still put the candidate forward elsewhere.

Payment and fall-offs

Every search on the network is opened by an employer or firm with a verified payment method on file, and you see the success fee and your cut before you take it on. We invoice the paying party, collect the full fee, and release each share on a published schedule once payment clears. If a placement does not hold, both sides work from the terms they accepted up front.

A successful placement can become the next search.

An employer you have placed for can bring their next role straight to you, even while your profile stays private.

The difference, plainly

How this differs from the usual way

The usual way
On JobMedium
Several agencies work the same role
One lead recruiting partner, with one optional partner seat
Candidate attribution is disputed later
Every introduction is timestamped to you, for 12 months
Payment and shares are handled outside the workflow
JobMedium invoices the paying party and distributes each agreed share

Founding access

Why join during the founding phase

We’re early and not pretending otherwise. The founding group is intentionally small, and founding terms are how we make it worth your time.

  1. the first 25

    Founding Partners

The people the network is built around. The designation on your profile and a seat on the standing call where what ships next gets decided.

  2. to 100

    Preferred founding recruiters

The depth behind the partners, built out specialism by specialism. Onboarded one-on-one, founding recognition across the network, and your input in the same room.

  3. to 200

    Founding recruiters

The last of the founding terms, on the same economics as everyone above you. When the 200th place goes, founding closes for good.

Only 200 founding places

Founding terms stop at the first 200 recruiters. Anyone later joins on the standard terms of the day.

Half the standard cut, locked for life

Your rate never goes up, even if standard pricing changes. The numbers are directly below.

Your first placement free

We take nothing on your account’s first deal, so you reach a payout before you trust the economics.

Hands-on onboarding

Every founding account is set up one-on-one with the founder. While the group is small, the founder also gives you a direct heads-up on new orders in your specialism rather than leaving you to discover them. It does not reserve an order or give any founding tier priority access.

A hand in how it works

Joining early gives you more say in how your specialism, the working rules and partner collaboration develop: what a good candidate introduction looks like, how a gray area gets called, what we require from an employer.

You don’t wait for launch

Founding members start working first, while the public waits for launch.

The economics

Keep more of what you place

No vague “reduced cut,” just the real numbers.

The platform cut

Standard rate 15%. Founding members pay 7.5%, locked for life even if the standard rate changes, and nothing at all on their account’s first placement. No subscriptions or listing fees.

Paid for effort, not just closings

When your candidate reaches interview you earn a milestone payment, funded by the paying party’s engagement deposit and netted against your final payout.

Your cut keeps improving

Published volume tiers drop the standard cut to 10% after 10 placements and 8% after 25. Founding members pay the lower of 7.5% or any tier they earn.

See a complete placement example

A $20,000 placement fee (the fee you agree per role, say 20% of a $100k salary):

Solo (standard) role opened by an employer, 15% cut
Platform cut $3,000
You take home $17,000
Solo (founding) role opened by an employer, 7.5% locked for life
Platform cut $1,500
You take home $18,500
Co-worked (standard) an even share in this example, 15% cut
Platform cut $3,000
You take home $8,500 each
Co-worked (founding) an even share in this example, 7.5% locked for life
Platform cut $1,500
You take home $9,250 each
Your first founding placement once per account, we take nothing
Platform cut $0
You take home the full fee, or your full share on a co-worked placement

We publish our cut plainly, because you deserve the economics before you invest a minute.

From Suraj Adhikari, founder of JobMedium

Specialized recruiting firms know how to recruit. What costs them placements is often everything around the search: a difficult client search where their network has run thin, room for another search with nothing new to work, or a fee earned months ago and still unpaid.

JobMedium handles that friction. Work roles opened directly by employers, bring a specialist partner into your own difficult client searches, keep every candidate introduction attributed to you, and get paid on published terms.

The goal is not another resume marketplace. It is recruiting partnerships that outlast a single placement, between firms and with the employers they serve.

If that is how your firm wants to work, I would value having you involved early.

Straight answers

The questions firms and recruiters ask us first

The objections you should have, answered head-on.

  • Both, and firms are who we built it around. Each recruiter on your team gets their own seat under your firm’s account, and your firm’s clients and candidate introductions stay with the firm. On your setup call we’ll walk through exactly how founding terms apply to your team.

  • Small is the design, not the deficiency. You’re not joining a public board hoping it fills up; you’re queued for a hand-picked cohort where employers and recruiters show up together. Where we are today: the platform is built and tested end-to-end, and we’re lining up the first hand-picked cohorts now, so the first roles and the first recruiters arrive together.

  • No. You never upload a candidate database to join, and your profile stays private until you publish it. A candidate’s contact details stay hidden from the employer, and from any partner on the search, until the candidate is hired. Your client relationships remain under your control, and every candidate introduction is attributed to you under the published Terms. That record exists to protect you, not to build an asset we resell. We earn exactly one way, a cut when you place.

  • The opposite, by design. On open boards whoever floods resumes fastest wins. Here each search has one lead recruiting partner for a working window, and a second recruiter joins only if you, as the lead, open your one partner seat. The searches themselves are opportunities you didn’t have yesterday: employers who choose specialist recruiting help, either from the start or after working the role themselves.

  • Only if there are roles worth filling, so that’s our first focus, not signups. We’d rather show you real roles than oversell it. Realistically: a small cohort with hands-on setup, a focused first set of live roles rather than a wall of stale listings, and a platform still getting polish while you use it. You get a straight answer about what is live before we ask for a minute of your time.

  • None on the terms themselves, which are published above and locked for life. The trade, plainly, is that you’re betting on us before the network is proven.

More questions
  • Your candidate is timestamped to you the moment you introduce them. If the client hires them within 12 months through any channel, the fee is owed to you. The record decides it, not an argument.

  • No platform can promise every hire holds. What we promise is process: we work with both sides to refill the seat first, every engagement runs on published terms both parties accepted up front, and we mediate gray areas fairly.

  • The money is identical: all 200 places carry the same cut, the same lock for life and the same free first placement on your account. What differs is how early and how visible. The first 25 are Founding Partners, carry the designation on their profile, and sit on the standing call where product decisions get made. Nobody sees a role before you do, because orders are not queued by rank.

  • No. Your placements and clients are never listed on your profile. It shows only what you write about your desk, and it stays private until you publish it, which is what opens network searches to you.

  • Not yet. JobMedium is US only at launch, so founding places are open to US-based recruiters and agencies only.
